How to disinfect nail files at home and why is it necessary
Well, many of you may think, why should we disinfect manicure tools at home, if only one person uses them? This is because in the salons there is a lot of people coming through and in that case desinfection would be extreamly neccesary. But this is an erroneous opinion, because even on home nail files, germs accumulate over time.
Disinfection is carried out with antiseptics or special ready-made solutions. But there is an option to make the desinfection by yourself:
1. In a small container, pour 100 g of alcohol and 10 g of boric acid salt.
2. Then the container must be covered with a lid.
3. Stir the solution periodically until a cloudy liquid is obtained.
4. Then add 30 g of potassium permanganate.
5. The solution should be pink with a purple tint.
6. The files are placed in this solution and placed in a steam bath.
7. It is necessary to hold the instruments no more than fifteen minutes, and the temperature should not be higher than 50 ° С.
There is also another simple method of sterilization – the oven. The files are processed in this way:
1. First, manicure tools should be disinfected.
2. After that, they must be washed.
3. Then all files are carefully wiped off with napkins.
4. The next step – the tools are laid out on an open surface, it is advisable to use foil. Moreover, this must be done in such a way that they do not come into contact with each other.
5. Sterilization is carried out at a temperature of 180 to 200 degrees.
6. After fifteen minutes, turn off the oven.
