Children’s nails: features of care.

For each parent proper care of their child isextremely important. This care consists of many items and sub-items, but do not forget about such an important detail as special children’s nail scissors. From an early age, the baby should be taught to take care of their hands. In newborns, the nails are soft and tender, they will get stronger only at an older age. However, they grow quite quickly and are already quite sharp. To prevent the child from accidentally injuring himself or someone close to him, you need to constantly monitor the growth of the nail plate.

Why is it important to buy special children’s nail scissors?

The fact is that ordinary nail scissors are made with sharp blades. In this case, there is a very high possibility of pricking or cutting your child’s hands. The main and main difference between children’s nail scissors is their safety. The blades are always rounded at the ends, sometimes they can be slightly curved, which provides a more convenient nail clipping.

As for the material from which the rings are made, it is usually plastic or metal. The latter look very similar to the classic nail scissorsand they serve longer.

The length of the blades also varies, on average from 1 cm to 3 cm. There are also longer scissors, for example, with blades 5 cm long. However, remember that they are not suitable for babies, they should be switched to after about three years.

Care in the very first weeks 

In newborn babies, the nails are firmly connected to the skin of the fingers, for this reason, it will be inconvenient and even dangerous to use scissors. The solution to this problem, of course, is-a children’s nail file.

The nail file will perfectly remove the excess length, quite carefully and accurately. For such purposes, a glass nail file is ideal, because it most gently cuts off the nail. It is important to take into account that it is necessary to file from top to bottom, and not along, as adults usually do, since the child’s nails are quite soft.
