Glass Nail File hardness
Glass Nail File hardness
Abrasive is the hardness of the file, measured in grits. The lower the number of grit your nail file has, the harder it is.
The degree of abrasiveness of the files determines their purpose:
1. For natural nails
2. For extended nails
3. For polishing nails
4. For nail polishing
– File 80-150 grit – suitable for artificial nails, for natural they are too hard. Manicure with this file requires special care, as it can easily injure the natural nail or the skin around the nail plate.
– File 150-240 grit – may be needed when shortening the free edge of a natural nail, processing an acrylic nail before applying gel polish, polishing it and shaping it.
– If you see the inscription “150 240" on your file, it means that one side of the file has an abrasiveness of 150 grit and is used for processing strong natural nails, the other side – 240 grit for weaker nails. It gently grinds and reshapes the natural nail, preparing it for the final polish, it is also ideal for removing the glossy layer before applying gel polish, or for preparing to polish nails.
– File 240 – 600 grit – you can file natural nails.
– A file with an abrasiveness of 400 grit is used for polishing, and over 1000 grit for polishing nails. These files will make your nails shiny even without the use of decorative coatings.
